Description
Getting different types of emotions is natural. The purpose of this book or section is not to learn how to remove emotions or not to get different emotions. That is not possible and not desirable as well. The purpose of this section of this book is how we can manage our emotions in a better way so that we can become more influential and beloved leader. To learn how to manage your emotions, we need to understand at present, how do you manage your emotions? Please ask yourself, how do you manage your emotions today? What is your emotion management strategy? Also, please ask yourself, what does it say about yourself? What does it tell you about your own life? One more common mistake we make – we sometimes think more knowledge is equal to becoming more intelligent. More knowledge for sure enlighten us, but does it convert a person to more intelligent?
I am afraid – it’s not! We have people around us with various levels of education and knowledge, but does it define how intelligent each of them is? Not really! One more point – as per psychologist Dr. Hendrie Weisinger, our rational intelligence is responsible for only 10% of our success. 80 – 90% of our success depends on our emotional intelligence, which many of us never learned or evaluated formally! People who have developed their emotional intelligence have a significant age over those who are not aware of or developed their EI. But there is a disclaimer I want to make – some people, some part of the Emotional Intelligence gets developed of its own depending on their culture and other social factors. A straightforward example – take any two people you know, think about a prevailing situation and remember whether both of them had reacted to the situation the same way?
